[Norway] Master Scholarship at Universititet Miljø-og Biovitenskap

Teman-teman yang berminat mengambil program master, di UMB (Universititet Miljø-og Biovitenskap/Norwegian University of Life sciences) berikut ini ada tawaran beasiswa, meskipun jumlahnya terbatas (baru 5 aja tahun ini) namun menurut pihak Universitas ada kemungkinan ditambah lagi di masa depan.

Beasiswa ini adalah respon UMB bagi negara-negara yang tertimpa musibah tsunami.

Deadline-nya 1 April dan kuliah dimulai August 2005.

Mohon disebarluaskan juga ke teman2 lain, terutama rekan-rekan yang bisa berkontribusi langsung ke Aceh dan Sumut di masa depan. Tidak ada salahnya mencoba jika membutuhkan.

The December 2004 tsunami in the Indian Ocean has affected the global community, which we are all part of. The Norwegian University of LifeSciences (UMB) is contributing to the long-term development and rehabilitation of the region by making 5 scholarships available for applicants from the affected countries.

Application deadline is April 1 and the studies will begin August2005. The following 2-year Master's programmes with admission in August 2005 are offered under the UMB scholarship:
1. Agroecology
2. Applied Aquaculture
3. Development and Resource Economics
4. Development Studies
5. Feed Manufacturing Technology
6. Management of Natural Resources and Sustainable Agriculture
7. Tropical Ecology and Management of Natural Resources

The applicant must hold a position in his/her home country with an institution / organisation / firm willing to grant leave of absence forthe duration of the study period. Public servants and employees associated with the state sector, employees of parastatal sectors, private sector enterprises, university teachers and staff of research institutes are eligible. Documentation of leave of absence is part ofthe application. As part of the application the institution / organisation / firm where the applicant is working must describe how the applicant will be better qualified in developing his/her home country after the tsunami with a degree from UMB.
